Job Summary
Do you have a heart for children, a love for singing “Baby Shark” (yes, even on the hundredth round), and the energy to keep up with curious, busy toddlers? If so, we’d love to meet you!
At Little Explorers, we believe toddlers thrive when they feel safe, loved, and encouraged to explore the world around them. We’re searching for a dedicated Toddler Teacher who is ready to sing, dance, create, and guide our youngest learners through their big developmental milestones.
As part of our close-knit childcare family, you’ll build strong relationships with children and families while creating a joyful, engaging classroom. If you’re enthusiastic, nurturing, and excited to grow alongside your students, this is the perfect place for you!
Duties & Responsibilities
As a Toddler Teacher, you’ll play an important role in each child’s day. Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing attentive, loving care to ensure each child’s safety and well-being
- Planning and leading engaging lessons and activities that spark creativity, curiosity, and a love for learning
- Supporting toddlers as they reach important developmental milestones in language, motor skills, and social-emotional growth
- Encouraging cooperation, kindness, and problem-solving with positive guidance strategies (because little eyes are always watching)
- Helping with daily routines like mealtime, diapering, potty training, and nap time in a calm and caring way
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and inviting classroom environment for play and exploration
- Building strong partnerships with families, keeping them informed about their child’s progress, milestones, and daily activities through Brightwheel and personal communication
- Collaborating with fellow teachers to create an inclusive and supportive environment for all children, including those with diverse needs
- Documenting children’s learning experiences, progress, and any incidents

- Complete all required trainings (Infant/Child CPR/First Aid, Safe Sleep, Health & Safety) within state-required timelines
- Be able to pass a background check and fingerprinting
- Show strong communication skills when working with children, families, and coworkers
