Childcare Support Staff

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure the well-being of all children in your care, maintaining a safe and nurturing atmosphere.
• Foster open communication with parents and staff members, always maintaining a positive and professional demeanor.
• Ensure smooth transitions during the day and respond calmly to any challenges that arise.
• Work alongside fellow teachers to foster a positive, cohesive, and effective learning environment.
• Cover in classrooms for staff lunch and bathroom breaks
• Assist in preparing and delivering snacks and meals, as well as helping with kitchen duties.

· Perform general cleaning duties, including sweeping, organizing, washing, mopping, and sanitizing to maintain a tidy environment.

· Interact positively with children: whether it’s engaging in play, guiding them through conflict resolution, or supporting them during transitions and nap time.

Physical Requirements:

• Frequently bend, kneel, twist, and crouch to meet children’s needs.
• Must be physically able to lift, carry, or position children or objects up to 50 pounds.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• A compassionate, patient, and caring attitude.
• Ability to work well in a team, demonstrating respect and cooperation.
• Prior experience in childcare or related field is preferred, but not required.
• A strong desire to help children develop both academically and emotionally.
• Flexibility to adapt to a schedule that may change based on family needs. **Must be willing to work between the hours of 10-6**.
