Childcare Teacher

Overview

We are currently seeking enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join our team as Childcare Teachers. You will be responsible for teaching a group of 9 preschool-aged children and supporting our lead teachers in creating a loving, educational, and engaging environment for our young learners. Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities.
• Supervise children to ensure their safety and well-being at all times.
• Foster a positive and supportive classroom environment that encourages active learning and participation.
• Collaborate with lead teachers to assess children’s development and communicate feedback to parents or guardians.
• Assist with daily routines including mealtimes, diapering, cleaning, and nap times.
• Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior experience working with young children in a childcare or educational setting.
• Passion for early childhood education and a genuine love for working with children.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patience, creativity, and adaptability.
• Ability to work well as part of a collaborative team.
• Must have:
• Adul/Children CPR Certification
• Bloodborne Pathogens Training Certificate
• DCYF Background Check Clearance
• Food Handler’s Permit
• DCYF Account & STAR ID
• Childcare Basics 30-Hour Training
• TB-test
• Must be able to lift up to 38 pounds.

Position Details:

• Job Type: Part-Time
• Pay: Starting at $17.50 to 18.00 per hour
• Expected Hours: 20-30 hours per week
• Schedule: Monday to Friday, 2 t0 6 pm
• Location Requirement: Candidates must reside within a 25-mile radius
• Work Location: In person
