Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement age-appropriate curricula that promote literacy education, math skills, physical activity, and social-emotional growth.
  • Support children’s developmental milestones through tailored activities in areas such as childhood development and early intervention strategies.
  • Manage classroom environments effectively by maintaining organization, safety standards, and positive behavior management techniques.
  • Engage with children during daily routines including playtime, meal periods, nap times, and educational activities like storytime or arts and crafts.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to plan lessons that incorporate Montessori methods or other educational philosophies suited to diverse learning needs.
  • Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about children’s progress, behavior, and specific needs related to special education or child welfare.
  • Assist in preparing for assessments such as standardized testing or progress evaluations to monitor each child's growth and learning outcomes.

Requirements

  • Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare, preschool, private schools, or similar environments is highly preferred.
  • Knowledge of early childhood education principles including curriculum development, classroom management, and behavior management techniques.
  • Familiarity with special education practices, early intervention programs, and literacy education strategies.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with colleagues and engage with parents or guardians.
  • Ability to supervise and care for toddlers and young children while maintaining a nurturing environment.
  • Experience with lesson planning, teaching physical education activities, tutoring in core subjects like math or reading, and working with students of varying developmental needs.
  • Certification or training related to childhood development or early childhood education is a plus; Montessori training is desirable. Join us in shaping bright futures!
