Childcare Worker

Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Childcare Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and a strong understanding of childhood development. This role involves providing a safe, nurturing environment for children, engaging them in educational activities, and supporting their emotional and physical needs. The Childcare Worker will work closely with infants, toddlers, and preschool-aged children, ensuring their well-being and fostering their growth.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and engage children in age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development.
• Provide care for infants and toddlers, including feeding, diapering, and comforting as needed.
• Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive interactions among children.
• Create a safe and welcoming environment that encourages exploration and creativity.
• Maintain open communication with parents or guardians regarding children's progress and any concerns.
• Assist in planning and executing educational programs that align with early childhood education standards.
• Support children with disabilities by adapting activities to meet their individual needs.
• Keep records of children's daily activities, behaviors, and developmental milestones.

Requirements

• Experience working with children in various settings such as daycare, preschool, or as a nanny.
• Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education practices.
• First aid certification is preferred; willingness to obtain certification if not currently held.
• Strong skills in behavior management and the ability to create engaging lesson plans.
• Experience with caregiving or babysitting for infants, toddlers, or children with disabilities is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues.
