Children’s & Teens Program Assistant

Marion Public Library is seeking an energetic and enthusiastic person to fill a position in Children’s & Teen Services. This part-time position averages 25 hours per week.

Position Summary: We are seeking an individual dedicated to providing courteous, efficient, and friendly library service to patrons of all ages and backgrounds. The ideal candidate will be well-organized and able to assist in planning and implementing engaging programs for youth and teens. Experience in graphic design or the arts is preferred. This position requires availability for evening and weekend hours.

Hours:

Monday: 1 pm-7 pm
Tuesday: 4-7 (during summer only)
Wednesday: 1 pm-7 pm
Thursday: 1 pm-7 pm
Friday: 4 pm-7 pm
Saturday: Rotating

Qualifications: Applicant should be computer savvy and be able to use technology to provide services for all ages. Customer-service experience required. Flexibility and experience working with these age groups are desired. Criminal background check required

Pay: $12/hr.
