Chiller Operator

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate, monitor, and adjust chiller systems, cooling towers, pumps, and associated HVAC equipment
• Conduct routine inspections of the chiller plant and related equipment to ensure optimal performance
• Record operating data such as temperatures, pressures, fluid levels, and flow rates
• Perform basic troubleshooting of mechanical or electrical issues within the chiller and HVAC system
• Respond promptly to system alarms or breakdowns and escalate as necessary
• Coordinate with maintenance teams for preventive and corrective maintenance schedules
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and operational policies and procedures
• Monitor and operate chillers via BMS (Building Management System) when applicable
• Maintain accurate logs and reports for daily operations and maintenance activities
• Support energy conservation initiatives and recommend operational improvements

Requirements:

• Diploma or technical certification in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC, or related field
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience as a Chiller Operator in the UAE or GCC region
• Experience in handling air-cooled and/or water-cooled chillers (Carrier, Trane, York, etc.)
• Familiarity with BMS systems and HVAC automation controls
• Basic knowledge of electrical and mechanical components of HVAC systems
• Ability to work independently and handle emergency situations
• Physically fit and able to work in hot and confined environments
