Chiller Technician - Facilities Management- Qatar Energy (Permanent)

We are currently seeking 2* experienced Chiller Technicians* for a permanent project with one of our prestigious clients at Qatar Energy – Dukhan. Applications are welcome from candidates currently based in Qatar as well as overseas.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of commercial chiller systems, including:
• Centrifugal chillers
• Screw chillers
• Scroll chillers
• Reciprocating chillers
• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance of:
• Chillers
• Chilled water pumps
• Condenser water pumps
• Pressurization units
• FAHUs, AHUs, and FCUs
• Perform maintenance as per approved checklists and schedules
• Service and maintain:
• 3-way control valves
• Isolating valves
• Differential regulating valves (DRVs)
• Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance of thermostats
• Operate and maintain chemical dosing systems
• Perform condenser fan motor re-bearing and servicing
• Diagnose and resolve issues related to:
• Refrigeration circuits
• Compressors
• Evaporators
• Condensers
• Associated HVAC components
• Conduct system performance testing to ensure optimal operation of chillers and HVAC systems
• Work with Building Management Systems (BMS) to monitor, analyze, and adjust chiller and HVAC performance
• Interpret technical manuals, drawings, blueprints, and schematics for troubleshooting and repairs
• Maintain accurate service records, including:
• Maintenance reports
• Chiller history books
• Log books and documentation
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, clients, and team members regarding system status, recommendations, and work progress

Systems & Brand Experience (Preferred)

• Hands-on experience with Daikin, PETRA, and Carrier chillers
• Ability to overhaul, rebuild, and majorly service chiller units is highly preferred

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Chiller Technician in facilities management or industrial projects
• Strong knowledge of commercial chiller systems and HVAC equipment
• Experience with preventive and corrective maintenance practices
• Familiarity with BMS systems and HVAC controls
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Physically fit and able to work in industrial site conditions
