The China Trade Executive (NVOCC) is responsible for managing import/export shipments between China and Pakistan, focusing on cargo bookings, freight negotiation, coordination with Chinese agents, and ensuring smooth end-to-end logistics operations. The role plays a key part in developing China's trade lanes and increasing shipment volumes.
Key Responsibilities:
Trade & Shipment Management
- Handle FCL/LCL shipments from China to Pakistan
- Coordinate with Chinese agents, co-loaders, and NVOCC partners
- Manage booking processes with shipping lines and consolidators
- Track shipments and ensure timely arrivals
Freight & Pricing
- Negotiate ocean freight rates with Chinese partners
- Develop competitive pricing strategies for customers
- Prepare quotations for clients (import/export cargo)
- Monitor market trends (freight fluctuations, peak seasons)
Customer & Sales Support
- Coordinate with sales team to secure China-based cargo
- Maintain relationships with importers, exporters, and agents
- Follow up on leads to convert into shipments
- Ensure high customer satisfaction and retention
Documentation & Compliance
- Manage shipping documents: BL, SI, Invoice, Packing List
- Ensure compliance with customs and international trade regulations
- Coordinate with clearance teams for smooth delivery
Operations Coordination
- Liaise with freight forwarders, transporters, and warehouses
- Handle transshipment and consolidation planning
- Resolve shipment delays, disputes, or cargo issues
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field
- 2–5 years experience in NVOCC / Freight Forwarding / Shipping Line
- Strong understanding of:
- FCL/LCL operations
- Incoterms
- Bill of Lading processes
- Experience dealing with China trade lane is a must
- Strong negotiation and coordination skills
- Proficiency in MS Excel and logistics software
