About the Role

We are looking for a skilled Software Engineer with 3–5 years of experience to join our Dubai-based technology team. This role is central to our expansion within the Chinese market, requiring a bridge between our technical infrastructure and our diverse ecosystem of sellers and partners.

The successful candidate will possess native-level fluency in Mandarin and English, along with the cultural insight necessary to navigate and support our Chinese business landscape effectively. While you will lead critical integrations with seller platforms, your scope will extend far beyond connectivity. You will be a key driver of innovation, designing solutions to automate complex business workflows and elevate our overall operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with business and operations teams to understand existing manual workflows and design automation solutions.
• Build backend services and APIs to streamline business processes and reduce manual effort.
• Develop and maintain integrations with systems and infrastructure of Chinese sellers and partners, working as part of a broader engineering team.
• Work on a variety of backend engineering tasks beyond integrations, including internal tools, automation pipelines, and process optimization.
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable and reliable backend services with efficient database design.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions in an agile environment.
• Ensure high standards of code quality, performance, security, and maintainability.
• Contribute to technical design discussions and architectural improvements.

Required Qualifications

• 3–5 years of professional experience in software or backend engineering.
• Strong proficiency in Python and hands-on experience with FastAPI (or similar frameworks).
• Solid experience with relational databases, like MySQL, PostgreSQL.
• Proven ability to work closely with business stakeholders and translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Experience building backend systems, automation tools, or workflow-based solutions.
• Fluency in Mandarin and English (spoken and written).
• Willingness to be based in Dubai, UAE.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or Amazon Web Services (AWS).
• Familiarity with workflow orchestration tools such as Temporal.
• Exposure to or hands-on experience with LLMs, AI-driven automation, or intelligent systems.
• Experience with e-commerce platforms, seller ecosystems, or cross-border business systems.
• Prior experience working in fast-paced or high-growth environments.
