Chinese Translator

The Role
We are seeking a skilled Chinese Translator to join our dynamic team in Abu Dhabi. In this role, you will facilitate clear and accurate communication between Chinese-speaking stakeholders and English-speaking teams, supporting our operations in the oil and gas sector. Your expertise will ensure that vital documents and communications are translated with precision, promoting seamless collaboration across multicultural teams. Responsibilities: - Translate technical documents, reports, contracts, and correspondence from Chinese to English and vice versa within the oil and gas context. - Interpret discussions and meetings between Chinese-speaking clients, partners, and internal teams to ensure accurate communication. - Collaborate with project managers and engineers to verify the accuracy and terminology of translations. - Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism. - Adapt translations for cultural relevance and clarity, ensuring messages are conveyed appropriately to diverse audiences. - Assist in the development of bilingual communication materials and presentations as needed.

Requirements

• Fluency in both Chinese, English, Urdu, Hindi languages, with excellent written and verbal communication skills. - Proven experience in translation within a technical or industrial setting, preferably in oil and gas. - Strong understanding of oil and gas industry terminology and procedures. - High attention to detail and ability to deliver accurate translations under tight deadlines. - Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural environment. - Bachelor’s degree in Translation, Linguistics, Chinese Studies, or a related field is preferred. - Familiarity with translation software and tools is an advantage.
