Responsibilities

  • Greet patients warmly, ensuring a smooth and efficient intake process while collecting relevant medical histories and updating patient records.
  • Assist chiropractors during examinations and treatments by preparing treatment rooms, handling equipment, and ensuring proper positioning of patients.
  • Support patient care by providing education on post-treatment instructions, exercises, and lifestyle modifications to promote recovery and wellness.
  • Monitor patient progress, document treatment details accurately, and communicate any concerns or observations to the healthcare team.
  • Maintain clinical cleanliness and organization of treatment areas, sterilize equipment, and adhere to infection control protocols.
  • Collaborate with the team to manage appointment schedules and ensure timely patient flow throughout the clinic day.
  • Stay informed about relevant medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and current best practices in outpatient, inpatient, orthopedics, geriatrics, acute care, sub-acute care, and post-acute care settings.

Requirements

  • Prior experience in a clinical or hospital environment with exposure to outpatient or inpatient care is highly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and orthopedics to support accurate patient assessment and documentation.
  • Demonstrated commitment to excellent patient service and compassionate care across diverse populations including geriatrics and those requiring sub-acute or post-acute care.
  • Ability to handle intake procedures efficiently while maintaining professionalism in high-pressure situations.
  • Familiarity with hospital medicine practices and experience working within acute or outpatient clinics is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
  • A proactive attitude towards learning new skills related to physiotherapy techniques and chiropractic procedures.
