Job Title: Chocolate Box Designer

Location: Nuwa Dates – Al Ain

Experience Required: 2–3 Years in Graphic Design / Packaging Design (Food or Chocolate Industry Preferred)

Job Purpose:

The Chocolate Box Designer is responsible for creating attractive and premium designs for chocolate and date boxes, including internal layouts, dividers, inserts, and decorative elements. The role ensures that all packaging reflects the Nuwa Dates brand identity, enhances product presentation, and meets practical production requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Packaging & Box Design

Design inner box layouts, including compartments, tray designs, paper inserts, dividers, and decorative linings.

Create unique and premium packaging concepts for dates, chocolates, gift boxes, and seasonal collections.

Develop prototypes and samples for approval before mass production.

Ensure all designs are practical, durable, and suitable for food-safe materials.

2. Branding & Creative Development

Incorporate Nuwa Dates branding, colors, and themes into all packaging designs.

Create artwork and graphics for box interiors such as prints, patterns, lining papers, and message cards.

Support in creating new packaging ideas for Ramadan, National Day, special events, and corporate orders.

3. Material Coordination

Select suitable materials such as cardboard, paper, velvet lining, foam inserts, plastic trays, etc.

Coordinate with suppliers and printing companies for sampling and final production.

Ensure cost-effective materials without compromising quality.

4. Quality & Production

Check samples and final production pieces to ensure quality and accurate execution of designs.

Ensure packaging meets food safety, durability, and aesthetic standards.

Work with production and packing teams to ensure design is easy to handle and pack.

5. Documentation & Planning

Prepare design files, die-cuts, and technical drawings for printers.

Maintain records of design versions, materials, and specifications.

Assist in planning new product lines and packaging upgrades.

Required Qualifications & Skills

2–3 years of experience in graphic design, product packaging, or box design.

Skilled in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and packaging design software.

Knowledge of printing processes, die-cuts, material types, and finishing methods.

Creative thinking with strong attention to detail.

Ability to design luxury-style packaging for dates and chocolates.

Strong communication and coordination skills.

Ability to meet deadlines and work on multiple designs simultaneously.

Pay: AED2,000.00 - AED2,500.00 per month
