We are seeking a talented and creative Chocolate Chef (Chocolatier) to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in chocolate work, a passion for creating premium chocolate products, and the ability to maintain high standards of quality and presentation.
The Chocolate Chef will be responsible for producing a wide range of chocolate-based desserts, pralines, truffles, and specialty confections while ensuring consistency, creativity, and excellence in every product.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and produce a variety of chocolate items including pralines, truffles, bonbons, chocolate bars, and decorative chocolate pieces.
- Temper chocolate and work with different types such as dark, milk, and white chocolate.
- Design and develop new chocolate products and seasonal offerings.
- Ensure proper storage, handling, and quality control of all chocolate ingredients and finished products.
- Maintain high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety in the chocolate production area.
- Collaborate with the pastry team for dessert and chocolate-based menu items.
- Monitor inventory of chocolate ingredients and report supply needs.
- Train and support junior pastry or chocolate staff when required.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Chocolate Chef / Chocolatier or similar role in pastry or confectionery.
- Strong knowledge of chocolate tempering, molding, enrobing, and decoration techniques.
- Creativity and attention to detail in presentation and flavor combinations.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
- Culinary or pastry certification is an advantage.
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in chocolate production or pastry kitchen.
