CHW FABICATOR

Sharjah, United Arab Emirates

The CHW Fabricator is responsible for the fabrication, installation, and modification of chilled water piping systems in accordance with technical drawings, specifications, and project requirements. The role requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems, welding, cutting, and assembling techniques to ensure the accurate and efficient installation of CHW systems for commercial, industrial, or institutional projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret mechanical drawings, piping schematics, and technical specifications for chilled water systems.
  • Fabricate CHW pipework including cutting, threading, grooving, welding, and assembling pipes and fittings.
  • Measure and layout pipe systems in accordance with project drawings and instructions.
  • Select appropriate materials, tools, and equipment for fabrication work.
  • Install supports, hangers, brackets, and insulation for CHW systems as needed.
  • Ensure all work complies with relevant codes, safety standards, and quality requirements.
  • Coordinate with HVAC technicians, plumbers, and other trades to integrate systems.
  • Maintain accurate records of materials used and work performed.
  • Troubleshoot and correct any fabrication or installation issues.
  • Perform pressure testing, flushing, and commissioning support for CHW systems.
  • Follow all safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE at all times.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the fabrication area.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade school certification is a plus.
  • Minimum 2–5 years of experience in pipe fabrication or mechanical HVAC systems.
  • Strong knowledge of chilled water systems and piping practices.
  • Proficient in the use of fabrication tools such as pipe threaders, welders, saws, and grinders.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Experience with welding techniques (TIG, MIG, Stick) and knowledge of pipe fitting.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and mechanical codes (e.g., ASME, OSHA).
  • Good physical condition with ability to lift heavy materials and work in various positions.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in welding or pipefitting.
  • OSHA 10/30 or other relevant safety certifications.
  • Experience in prefabrication shop environments.
