Civil Draftsman

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Drafting & Design: Develop detailed, accurate structural, site, and architectural drawings, including plans, elevations, and sections, based on engineer notes, sketches, or site data.
• Technical Software Use: Utilize AutoCAD, MicroStation, or similar tools to produce 2D/3D models and digital construction documents.
• Compliance & Revision: Ensure all designs adhere to building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards.
• Collaboration: Coordinate with engineers, architects, and construction teams to resolve design issues and incorporate revisions.
• Documentation: Maintain, organize, and update project drawing files and documentation.
• Site Support: Conduct, at times, site visits to gather information or verify design, and assist with preparing bills of materials.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Technical Proficiency: Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or related CAD software.
• Technical Knowledge: Understanding of civil engineering principles, construction materials, and structural details.
• Analytical Skills: High attention to detail, strong mathematical skills, and the ability to interpret technical documents.
• Education: Typically requires an Associate degree or diploma in drafting, civil engineering, or a related field.
