1. Job Purpose: The Civil Engineer is responsible for planning, designing, executing, and overseeing construction and maintenance works related to civil and infrastructure projects. The role ensures that projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and in compliance with company standards, client specifications, and Omani regulatory requirements.

2. Responsibilities:

• Project Planning & Execution: Assist in preparing project work plans, schedules, and cost estimates. Supervise site works including excavation, concreting, structural, finishing, and infrastructure works. Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth execution of work. Review and interpret project drawings, technical specifications, and contractual requirements.
• Quality & Compliance: Ensure compliance with design specifications, codes, and Omani construction standards. Implement and monitor quality control measures on site. Prepare and review method statements, shop drawings, and material submittals for approval.
• Health, Safety & Environment (HSE): Ensure all site activities comply with HSE standards and company safety policies. Conduct toolbox talks and safety briefings with workers. Report and address incidents, hazards, and unsafe practices.
• Project Monitoring & Reporting: Track project progress and prepare daily/weekly reports for management. Monitor material usage, manpower productivity, and equipment utilization. Support cost-control efforts by minimizing wastage and ensuring resource efficiency.
• Stakeholder Management: Liaise with project managers, consultants, and clients to resolve technical issues. Coordinate with Quantity Surveyors for BOQs, estimates, and progress billing. Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers and site supervisors.
• Qualifications & Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering. Minimum 6 years of experience in civil construction (in Oman/GCC preferred). Valid Oman Society of Engineers membership. Knowledge of Omani construction codes, standards, and regulations. Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Project/Primavera, and MS Office.
