Key responsibilities
- Project planning and design:
- Conduct site investigations and feasibility studies.
- Analyze data, including reports, maps, and soil composition tests, to inform design.
- Develop detailed designs for structures and infrastructure, creating blueprints and using CAD software.
- Determine project costs and manage budgets and resources.
- Manage construction activities, ensuring they follow the plans and specifications.
- Oversee and guide construction teams and contractors on site.
- Coordinate with architects, clients, and other stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met.
- Manage project timelines and schedules.
- Ensure all projects comply with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement risk management strategies.
- Ensure projects adhere to safety and environmental standards throughout the design and construction phases.
- Prepare engineering reports, specifications, and other construction documents.
- Provide technical guidance and problem-solve issues that arise during construction.
- Stay up-to-date with relevant zoning laws, regulations, and industry standards.
