Civil Engineer

Key responsibilities

• Project planning and design:
• Conduct site investigations and feasibility studies.
• Analyze data, including reports, maps, and soil composition tests, to inform design.
• Develop detailed designs for structures and infrastructure, creating blueprints and using CAD software.
• Determine project costs and manage budgets and resources.
• Manage construction activities, ensuring they follow the plans and specifications.
• Oversee and guide construction teams and contractors on site.
• Coordinate with architects, clients, and other stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met.
• Manage project timelines and schedules.
• Ensure all projects comply with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Conduct risk assessments and implement risk management strategies.
• Ensure projects adhere to safety and environmental standards throughout the design and construction phases.
• Prepare engineering reports, specifications, and other construction documents.
• Provide technical guidance and problem-solve issues that arise during construction.
• Stay up-to-date with relevant zoning laws, regulations, and industry standards.
