Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Civil Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, planning, and managing a variety of civil engineering projects, ensuring they meet technical specifications, safety standards, and client requirements. This role offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects including water treatment, wastewater management, pipeline systems, and land development. The Civil Engineer will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and utilize advanced software tools to deliver innovative solutions that support infrastructure development and environmental sustainability.
Duties
- Develop detailed project designs using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, MicroStation, and other CAD software.
- Prepare technical schematics, system designs, and construction drawings for various civil engineering projects.
- Conduct site assessments, land surveying, geotechnical investigations, and hydraulic modeling using GIS, ArcGIS, HEC, SWMM, and other specialized tools.
- Oversee construction management activities including project scheduling, construction inspection, and quality assurance to ensure adherence to plans and safety standards.
- Perform construction estimating and assist in project budgeting to optimize resource allocation.
- Manage project documentation through technical writing and drafting to support permits, reports, and client communications.
- Coordinate with stakeholders on project timelines, deliverables, and compliance requirements.
- Utilize system design principles for water treatment plants, wastewater systems, hydraulics calculations, and pipeline installations.
- Support project engineering efforts by providing technical expertise in civil engineering disciplines such as land development, geotechnical engineering, mechanical engineering integration, and system design.
Experience
- Proven experience in civil engineering with a strong background in construction management and project scheduling.
- Proficiency in industry-standard software including AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, MicroStation, ArcGIS, HEC tools (Hydrologic Engineering Center), Mathcad, SWMM (Storm Water Management Model), and CAD drafting tools.
- Familiarity with GIS applications for spatial analysis and mapping.
- Experience conducting construction inspection and site supervision to ensure compliance with design specifications.
- Knowledge of geotechnical engineering principles related to soil analysis and foundation design.
- Understanding of water treatment processes and wastewater management systems.
- Ability to perform hydraulic calculations related to hydraulics systems design.
- Strong technical writing skills for preparing reports, schematics, proposals, and project documentation.
- Prior experience in project management including scheduling coordination across multidisciplinary teams is preferred.
