HVAC Project Engineer

Job Title: Project Engineer – HVAC

Department: Projects / Engineering
Reports To: Project Manager / Operations Head

Roles and Responsibilities:1. Project Planning & Coordination

• Understand project requirements, scope of work, and client expectations.
• Coordinate with design and estimation teams to review HVAC system drawings and technical specifications.
• Develop detailed project schedules, timelines, and work plans.
• Plan resource allocation (materials, manpower, equipment) for smooth execution.

2. Site Execution & Supervision

• Supervise installation, testing, and commissioning of HVAC systems (e.g., AHUs, chillers, ducting, piping, ventilation systems).
• Ensure all work is carried out as per approved drawings, specifications, and safety standards.
• Monitor subcontractor work and coordinate site activities to avoid delays.
• Resolve technical issues on-site in coordination with design and senior engineers.

3. Quality Control & Compliance

• Ensure project execution complies with industry standards (ASHRAE, ISHRAE, etc.), local codes, and safety regulations.
• Conduct regular inspections to verify quality of workmanship and adherence to plans.
• Prepare and maintain QA/QC documentation and checklists.

4. Client & Stakeholder Coordination

• Attend client meetings and provide updates on project progress.
• Coordinate with consultants, architects, and other contractors involved in the project.
• Manage client expectations and ensure timely communication of changes or issues.

5. Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain daily progress reports (DPR) and site logs.
• Prepare and submit project status reports, snag lists, and project close-out documents.
• Assist in the preparation of as-built drawings and operation & maintenance manuals.

6. Procurement & Inventory Management

• Assist procurement team with material requisitions and delivery follow-ups.
• Ensure availability of required materials and tools on site as per project schedule.
• Track material usage and minimize wastage.

7. Testing & Commissioning

• Supervise pre-commissioning and final commissioning of HVAC systems.
• Ensure systems are tested for functionality, airflow, pressure balance, and energy efficiency.
• Assist in performance testing and client handover.

8. Post-Project Support

• Address defects or service issues during the defect liability period (DLP).
• Provide technical support to the maintenance team if required.

Key Skills & Competencies:

• Sound knowledge of HVAC systems and components.
• Strong understanding of engineering drawings and project documentation.
• Ability to manage time, prioritize tasks, and work under pressure.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with project management tools and MS Office.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, or HVAC design software is a plus.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹13,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month
