The Structural Engineer will play a key role in delivering high quality structural designs for a wide range of projects across the region. This position includes leading structural design work, collaborating closely with project managers and engineering teams, and ensuring all deliverables meet industry standards and client expectations. The role is essential in supporting the organization’s commitment to delivering innovative, safe, and cost-effective engineering solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop structural designs for steel, concrete, wood, and masonry structures.
- Create project specifications and review detailed shop drawings.
- Utilize structural engineering software such as RAM Structural Systems, Enercalc, and STAADPro.
- Apply local and national building codes, including IBC, ASCE, ACI, and AISC.
- Prepare structural calculations, drawings, and technical documentation.
- Coordinate project requirements with clients, contractors, outside consultants, and internal staff.
- Conduct site visits to assess existing conditions and verify design compatibility.
- Participate in meetings, presentations, and public reviews as a representative of the organization.
- Maintain professional relationships with clients and internal partners.
Minimum Education & Experience Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited university.
- Registered Professional Engineer (PE).
- Minimum 5 to 10 years of structural engineering experience.
- Experience designing steel, concrete, wood, and masonry structures.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and structural analysis software.
Special Requirements
- Valid Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- Ability to travel occasionally for site visits and client meetings.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong knowledge of building codes, design practices, and structural engineering principles.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Ability to prepare and review technical specifications and engineering documentation.
