Civil Engineer

The Civil Engineer – 1 Grade provides lead-level site engineering support for civil works within the assigned area of the project construction site. The role is responsible for technical compliance of executed works with design documentation, controls critical field execution parameters and ensures timely resolution of technical issues impacting quality and schedule. The position coordinates technical clarifications for construction teams, supports control of critical work stages and ensures accurate actual site data is provided for work close-out and as-built documentation.

Purpose of the work

To ensure civil works are executed in full compliance with project requirements and technical parameters, preventing execution errors and delays during stage close-out. The role focuses on controlling critical activities, managing site technical issues and supporting construction teams to deliver works without rework and deviations.

Main responsibilities

• Independently manages site engineering support for assigned civil scope/area
• Verifies compliance of works with drawings, specifications and project requirements at key stages
• Checks and confirms critical execution parameters (levels, dimensions and element positioning)
• Supports construction teams with technical execution matters and agreed work sequence
• Coordinates design clarification requests and controls implementation of approved clarifications on site
• Supports control of earthworks, foundations, concrete works and related activities
• Checks embedded items, anchor elements and inserts impacting subsequent stages
• Supports readiness confirmation for inspections and stage close-out
• Prepares and provides technical data required for executed work close-out and reporting
• Supports as-built documentation preparation and verifies accuracy of actual site data
• Interfaces with QA/QC regarding technical compliance and deviation resolution
• Identifies technical risks, proposes mitigation actions and escalates critical issues to management
• Complies with safety requirements during site activities

• Coordination with construction, engineering and QA/QC for acceptance

Qualification requirements

• Technical diploma or bachelor’s degree in Civil/Construction or related discipline
• Proven site engineering experience supporting civil works execution
• Strong understanding of civil work methods and key parameter control
• Ability to provide technical clarifications and coordinate field technical issues
• Experience supporting close-out data and as-built documentation preparation
• Working level of English for documentation and site communication
