Civil Engineer

The Civil Engineer is responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising architectural metal, aluminium, glass, façade, and door projects from design through installation. The role ensures that all works comply with project specifications, approved shop drawings, quality standards, safety regulations, and project schedules while coordinating with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal departments.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and supervise architectural metal, aluminium, glass, façade, and door projects.
• Review contract documents, project specifications, IFC drawings, and approved shop drawings.
• Conduct site inspections and verify site conditions prior to fabrication and installation.
• Coordinate with architects, consultants, clients, contractors, and subcontractors throughout project execution.
• Prepare project schedules and monitor work progress to ensure timely completion.
• Ensure fabrication and installation activities comply with approved drawings, project specifications, and quality standards.
• Review material submittals, method statements, inspection requests (IRs), and technical documentation.
• Monitor project costs, material usage, manpower, and productivity.
• Identify technical issues and provide engineering solutions to minimize delays.
• Coordinate with the production team to ensure fabrication meets site requirements.
• Attend project coordination meetings and prepare technical reports and progress updates.
• Verify measurements and dimensions before fabrication and installation.
• Ensure compliance with local authority regulations, building codes, and safety standards.
• Coordinate testing, inspections, snagging, and project handover activities.
• Maintain project documentation, including daily reports, RFIs, NCRs, and variation orders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
• Professional engineering certification is an advantage.
• Valid UAE driving license is preferred.

Experience

• Minimum 5–8 years of experience in civil engineering with architectural metal, aluminium, glass, façade, curtain wall, and door projects.
• UAE/GCC experience is highly preferred.
• Experience managing commercial, residential, hospitality, and high-rise building projects.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of aluminium systems, curtain walls, glazing systems, architectural metal works, and door installations.
• Ability to read and interpret structural drawings, architectural drawings, and shop drawings.
• Knowledge of fabrication and installation processes for aluminium, glass, and metal works.
• Familiarity with construction standards, QA/QC procedures, and HSE requirements.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of project planning software (MS Project or Primavera P6) is an advantage.
• Strong leadership, coordination, and project management skills.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and work under pressure.

Health, Safety & Quality Responsibilities

• Ensure all project activities comply with company HSE policies and local regulations.
• Monitor site safety and enforce the use of appropriate PPE.
• Ensure all works meet quality standards and approved inspection requirements.
• Participate in quality inspections, audits, and corrective actions.
• Report project risks, safety concerns, and quality issues promptly.

Working Conditions

• Combination of office and construction site work.
• Frequent travel to project sites for inspections and coordination meetings.
• May require overtime or weekend work to meet project deadlines.

Pay: AED2,053.27 - AED5,000.00 per month
