Civil Engineer - Arabic Nationality

Job Summary

The Civil Engineer is responsible for planning, supervising, coordinating, and monitoring civil construction activities to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and in accordance with project specifications, quality standards, and applicable regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor all civil construction works at the project site.
• Review drawings, specifications, and contract documents to ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and project stakeholders.
• Prepare and monitor project schedules and work progress.
• Ensure all works are executed in accordance with approved shop drawings and method statements.
• Conduct site inspections and quality control checks.
• Prepare and submit inspection requests (IRs), material approval requests, and project reports.
• Monitor labor productivity and resource utilization.
• Identify and resolve technical issues arising during construction.
• Review subcontractor invoices and work progress claims.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Participate in project meetings and provide technical support to the project team.
• Assist in project handover, snagging, and close-out activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university.
• Professional engineering certification is an advantage.
• Valid UAE driving license is preferred.

Experience

• Minimum 10 years of experience in the UAE construction industry (Specifically in Towers Construction )
• Experience in residential, commercial, high-rise, villa, ...etc
• Strong knowledge of UAE construction standards, regulations, and authority requirements.

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Knowledge of Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project.
• Strong understanding of construction methodologies, quantity surveying, and project planning.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.

Soft Skills

• Strong leadership and team management abilities.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills.
• Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Strong report writing and documentation skills.

Working Conditions

• Site-based position with regular field inspections.
• May require extended working hours to meet project deadlines.
• Compliance with company safety policies and project HSE requirements.
