Civil Engineer (Estimation / Procurement Engineer)

We are a French company based in Dubai looking to immediately hire a Civil Engineer as Estimation / Procurement Engineer.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented, thorough and organized Estimation / Procurement Engineer to oversee the procurement mostly for civil fit-out materials.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Manage information, inventory, ordering, and material handling processes
  • Plan, coordinate, and monitor the transportation of materials
  • Negotiate optimal pricing and favorable supply agreements
  • Source and obtain samples for finishes and materials
  • Request and collect quotations from suppliers and service providers
  • Prepare and process local purchase orders
  • Ensure timely delivery of all procured items
  • Maintain and regularly update supplier databases
  • Keep accurate records of purchases, pricing, and key procurement data
  • Adhere to procurement schedules for equipment and materials (including joinery and hardware)
  • Build and sustain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers
  • Evaluate suppliers, pricing, and supply options to develop comparative quotation analyses

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Diploma in a technical field related to construction (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or equivalent).
  • Proven knowledge of ordering and procurement of joinery, hardware, sanitary items, tiles, and MEP materials is a must.
  • Prior experience in the UAE construction industry is highly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of procurement processes, policies, and systems.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, etc.).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop effective solutions.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Well-organized with the ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.
  • Capable of multitasking, prioritizing tasks, and managing time efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
