Job Description

Vortexen Dynamics Industrial Solutions is looking for a Civil Engineer with experience in Fire Stopping and Passive Fire Protection works for projects in Dubai.

The candidate will be responsible for site coordination, execution, inspection preparation, documentation, and coordination with contractors, consultants, and project teams. The role requires knowledge of fire stopping applications for MEP penetrations, fire-rated walls, slabs, shafts, ducts, cable trays, and related passive fire protection systems.

Vortexen handles fire stopping works in line with project specifications, approved drawings, UL systems, BS/NFPA standards, and Civil Defence requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise fire stopping and passive fire protection works at project sites.
• Coordinate with main contractors, consultants, MEP teams, and site teams.
• Review IFC drawings, approved drawings, and site conditions.
• Monitor installation of fire stopping materials for walls, slabs, shafts, MEP penetrations, ducts, pipes, cable trays, and conduits.
• Prepare daily site progress reports with photos.
• Coordinate material submittals, method statements, inspection requests, and approvals.
• Ensure works are carried out as per approved UL/EJ systems and Civil Defence requirements.
• Check annular space, sleeves, openings, backing materials, sealant application, fire rating, and labeling.
• Support QA/QC inspection and consultant/client approval process.
• Maintain project documentation, inspection records, and site tracker sheets.
• Coordinate manpower and material requirements at site.
• Report variations, site issues, and work-front delays to management.

Candidate Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 2–5 years of experience in construction site execution.
• Experience in fire stopping / passive fire protection is preferred.
• Knowledge of Dubai Civil Defence requirements will be an advantage.
• Familiarity with UL systems, fire-rated walls, slabs, shafts, and MEP penetration sealing.
• Ability to read drawings and coordinate with MEP and civil teams.
• Good communication and site coordination skills.
• UAE experience preferred.
• Valid UAE driving license is an advantage.
