Civil Engineer – Infrastructure & Road Works

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced Civil Engineer specializing in infrastructure and road works to supervise, inspect, and monitor site activities on major civil and infrastructure projects in Qatar. The ideal candidate must have a strong background in roads, highways, utilities, drainage, and other related infrastructure systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise civil construction activities for infrastructure and/or building projects.
• Review and approve shop drawings, method statements, material submittals, and ITPs.
• Ensure works comply with QCS, Ashghal standards, project specifications, and safety regulations.
• Monitor construction progress, quality, and cost control.
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors, subcontractors, and authorities.
• Conduct site inspections and resolve technical issues.
• Prepare progress reports and attend project meetings.
• Review quantities and assist with interim payment certifications.
• Ensure proper implementation of QA/QC and HSE procedures.

Qualifications & Experience:

· Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent)

· Minimum 10 years of relevant experience, working on major infrastructure and road projects.

· Familiar with construction of roads, asphalt layers, utilities (stormwater, sewer, water), manholes, chambers, and diversion works.

· Experience in both consulting supervision and contracting environments is a plus.

· Valid MMUP/UPDA license (Grade B or A) is required or highly preferred.

· Ashghal project experience or approval is an advantage.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
• 8–15 years of experience in civil engineering (Qatar or GCC experience preferred).
• Strong knowledge of QCS and Ashghal standards.
• Experience in roads, drainage, utilities, or large-scale building projects.
• Strong understanding of construction methods and site management.
• UPDA/MMUP certification is preferred.
