Civil Engineer Inspector

Support the planning, implementation, and inspection of civil engineering projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in civil engineering principles and hands-on experience in construction site inspection, materials testing, and ensuring compliance with project specifications and standards.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Perform on-site inspections of construction activities to ensure compliance with engineering plans, specifications, safety regulations, and quality standards
• Assist in reviewing construction drawings, blueprints, and project documentation
• Monitor contractor performance and verify work progress
• Document daily activities, prepare inspection reports, and communicate findings to senior engineers
• Ensure materials and workmanship meet required standards and approved procedures
• Report and follow up on any non-conformities or issues identified during inspections
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and internal teams to resolve technical issues
• Support testing and commissioning activities as required
• Maintain up-to-date records and logs related to project inspections and compliance
  
  

Qualifications, Knowledge & Skills

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience
• Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognized institution with a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience
• Strong understanding of civil engineering and construction practices
• Familiarity with relevant codes, standards, and regulations
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Good communication and reporting skills
• Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office and construction management software is a plus
