Role Overview

Vortexen is seeking a dynamic Civil Engineer to lead and scale our Coating, Proofing, Civil & Industrial Services division. This role combines project management, operations, maintenance, construction, and sales, with full responsibility to build a team and grow the business from the ground up.

Key ResponsibilitiesProject Management & Operations

• Manage end-to-end execution of projects (Civil, Coating, Waterproofing, Industrial works)
• Oversee planning, scheduling, manpower, materials, and site coordination
• Ensure compliance with UAE standards (Civil Defence, EPC, Oil & Gas requirements)
• Handle maintenance and facility management (FM) related scopes

Business Development & Sales

• Identify new opportunities in Civil, Oil & Gas, FM, and Industrial sectors
• Generate leads, conduct client meetings, and close projects
• Prepare BOQs, estimates, and proposals
• Build long-term client relationships and secure repeat business

Team Building & Leadership

• Recruit, train, and manage engineers, supervisors, and technicians
• Establish SOPs, workflows, and performance targets
• Build and scale a high-performing team

Business Growth & Strategy

• Develop new service scopes and market entry strategies
• Scale operations from initial stage to full business unit
• Drive revenue growth and profitability

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
• Minimum 5+ years UAE experience in construction / industrial services
• Proven experience in project management + operations + sales
• Strong knowledge of coating, waterproofing, civil works, Oil & Gas / FM projects
• Experience in lead generation, closing deals, and client handling
• Leadership experience in building and managing teams
• UAE Driving License (mandatory)

Preferred Profile

• Entrepreneurial mindset with ability to build from scratch
• Strong network in UAE construction / industrial sector
• Experience with Oil & Gas/ EPC / facility management projects
