Civil Engineer – Real Estate Maintenance

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Civil Engineer with a strong background in building maintenance and facility management within the real estate sector. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the structural integrity, upkeep, and long-term sustainability of residential and commercial properties, while coordinating maintenance activities, renovations, and repair works to meet safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee maintenance and repair works across residential, commercial, or mixed-use real estate properties.
• Conduct regular inspections of buildings, infrastructure, and utilities to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
• Identify structural issues, provide technical solutions, and recommend preventive maintenance programs.
• Manage renovation, refurbishment, and fit-out projects, ensuring cost-effectiveness and timely delivery.
• Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and facility management teams to ensure quality execution of maintenance work.
• Prepare and review BOQs, cost estimates, work orders, and technical reports.
• Ensure compliance with local building codes, safety standards, and environmental regulations.
• Implement energy-efficient and sustainable maintenance practices.
• Support asset value enhancement by maintaining property conditions to the highest standards.
• Respond to emergency maintenance issues and provide quick resolutions.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (Master’s preferred).
• Proven 5+ years of experience in civil engineering with a focus on maintenance, facilities, or property management in the real estate industry.
• Strong knowledge of building materials, construction methods, and maintenance systems.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Project, or similar engineering/project management tools.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and project management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and work under pressure.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to coordinate with internal and external stakeholders.
• Familiarity with health & safety standards and local building regulations.
