Civil Engineer – Road Project (Contractual – 5 Months)

A reputable organization is looking to hire an experienced Civil Engineer on a short-term contractual basis to supervise a road infrastructure project. The selected candidate will be responsible for ensuring quality execution, coordinating with consulting engineers, and verifying project measurements and contractor bills.

Contract Up to 5 Months (can be extended subject to project completion)

Location : Port Qasim, Karachi - Pakistan (Project Based)

Salary Range

PKR 180,000 – 220,000 per month (Negotiable based on experience)

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor road construction and maintenance activities at the project site.
• Coordinate and interact with the consultant engineering firm to ensure compliance with project specifications and standards.
• Verify quality of construction work, materials, and adherence to engineering standards.
• Conduct topographic surveys and measurement of works at site.
• Review and verify contractor bills and Interim Payment Certificates (IPC) before submission for approval.
• Ensure project execution is aligned with approved drawings, BOQs, and contractual requirements.
• Maintain proper site documentation, measurement books, and progress records.
• Identify and report any deviations, quality issues, or delays to management.
• Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements at the project site.

Requirements

• BE Civil Engineering (Mandatory)
• ME Civil Engineering preferred
• Registration with Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) required
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in:
• Road construction / maintenance
• Sewerage and allied civil works
• Topographic survey and measurement of works
• Processing and verification of Interim Payment Certificates (IPC)
• Must have independently completed at least five (5) similar road or infrastructure projects.

Preferred Skills

• Strong knowledge of road construction standards and specifications
• Experience working with consultants and contractors on infrastructure projects
• Ability to verify measurements, quantities, and contractor billing
• Strong site supervision and project coordination skills

Pay: Rs180,000.00 - Rs220,000.00 per month
