Civil Engineer - Roads Projects

Position Overview

The Civil Engineer – Roads Construction & Supervision will oversee and manage road construction activities, ensuring compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and MOT regulations. The role requires strong technical expertise, on‑site supervision skills, and the ability to coordinate effectively with contractors, consultants, and government authorities.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise day‑to‑day road construction activities, ensuring adherence to approved drawings, specifications, and project timelines.
• Monitor contractor performance and ensure compliance with MOT standards and guidelines.
• Conduct site inspections, quality checks, and material testing in coordination with QA/QC teams.
• Review and verify shop drawings, method statements, and technical submittals.
• Coordinate with project managers, consultants, and stakeholders to resolve technical issues.
• Prepare progress reports, site documentation, and engineering records.
• Ensure implementation of safety procedures and environmental regulations on site.
• Assist in planning, scheduling, and resource allocation for road construction works.
• Participate in project meetings and provide technical input as required.
• Support handover procedures and ensure completion of punch‑list items.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in road construction and supervision projects.
• Experience working with MOT (Ministry of Transport) projects is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of road design standards, pavement materials, and construction methodologies.
• Familiarity with Saudi codes, MOT specifications, and local authority requirements.
• Proficiency in engineering software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MS Office, etc.).
• Strong communication, reporting, and coordination skills.
• Ability to work in fast‑paced environments and manage multiple site activities.
• Valid Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE) membership is an advantage.
