Civil Engineer (Site Engineer)

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Site Civil Engineer to join our company. As a Site Civil Engineer, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing construction projects, ensuring adherence to engineering standards, and maintaining high-quality standards for all civil works on-site. You will collaborate with project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure the successful execution of construction projects within scheduled timelines and budgetary constraints.

Responsibilities:

• Participate in project planning meetings and contribute to the development of project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
• Supervise and manage civil construction activities on-site, including foundation work, structural elements, drainage systems, and roadways.
• Ensure compliance with local building codes, safety regulations, and engineering standards for all civil works.
• Conduct regular inspections to verify the quality of construction materials and workmanship, addressing any issues promptly.
• Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, and other professionals to coordinate civil engineering designs with the overall project.
• Oversee and coordinate work activities of subcontractors and labourers to ensure work progress as per the construction schedule.
• Evaluate and select vendors for construction materials and equipment, ensuring cost-effectiveness and quality.
• Monitor project costs and expenses related to civil works, identifying potential cost-saving opportunities and optimizing resource utilization.
• Implement and enforce safety protocols on-site, promoting a culture of safety and adherence to HSE standards.
• Conduct regular safety inspections and ensure compliance with all HSE regulations.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of civil engineering activities, progress reports, and project documentation.
• Prepare periodic reports on project status, milestones, and challenges for project managers and company management.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
• Proven experience as a Site Civil Engineer in the real estate or construction industry, with a focus on residential or commercial projects.
• Sound knowledge of civil engineering principles, building codes, safety regulations, and construction practices in India.
• Proficiency of MS Office & ERP tools is preferred.
• Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software and other engineering tools.
• Strong leadership and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities to address construction challenges effectively.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Attention to detail and ability to maintain high-quality standards for all civil works on-site.
• Familiarity with sustainable and environmentally friendly construction practices is a plus.
