Civil Engineer (Structural Design & Supervision -Consultant Experience)

• Must a Structural Design with Consultant Experience.
• Responsible to prepare concept, preliminary and detailed Structural Designs
• Responsible to analyze configurations of the basic structural components of a building or other structure.
• Responsible for Completion of detailed Structural Designs ensuring Structural Designs are completed in accordance with the latest design codes, standards and safety measures
• Responsible to Calculate the pressures, stresses and strains that each component, such as a beam or lintel, will experience from other parts of the structure due to human use or environmental pressures such as weather or earthquakes.
• Responsible to choose appropriate materials, such as concrete, steel, or precast, to meet design requirements
• Responsible to ensure that designs are cost-effective by the implementation of value engineering
• Responsible to Coordinate Structural Design with all other design disciplines, including architects, to agree on safe designs and their fit with the aesthetic concept of the construction.
• Responsible to apply expert knowledge of the forces that act on various structures.
• Responsible to provide the support and cooperation in regard to the Quality department requirements and Audits.
• Responsible to provide the support and cooperation in regard to the Business development & tenders management activities when requested.
• Responsible for supervising contractors throughout all stages of work during the construction of buildings as per drawings, regulations and Qatar construction specifications
• Responsible to prepare site visit reports with photos and report progress and Non-conformance (if any)
• Responsible to prepare letters as per contract terms and report any delay, non-conformance, or breach\violations as per contract terms
• Responsible to attend inspections to ensure work done by contractor is as per drawings, regulations and Qatar construction specifications
• Responsible to review and approve contractor payments and variations
• Responsible to attend progress meetings and prepare minutes of meetings for the assigned projects
