Job Description:

TASKS

Design and detailing of steel and concrete structures for power and industrial projects i.e Power plants, substations, PV, BESS, etc.

Design detailed engineering drawings and plans using AutoCAD that includes but not limited to:

o Site equipment layouts

o Foundation layouts

o Drainage layouts

o HV Substations layouts

• Design special structures such as pile foundations, transformer bunds, firewalls, equipment supports, blast-resistant masonry walls, control room buildings, cable pits, and switch room foundations.

• Execute civil design works including temporary roads, site grading, drainage layouts, soak away pit design, scaffolding, staircases, handrails, fencing, tank supports, container foundations etc.

• Review, and check detailed engineering and construction drawings, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project requirements.

• Use engineering software tools (Robot, Staad Pro, Etabs, RAM Connection, Tekla, AutoCAD/ZWCAD) for modeling, analysis, and drafting.

• Perform structural analysis for different structures and foundations.

• Coordinate with lead engineers and other departments

• Ensure timely delivery of drawings and documentation.

• Respond to site queries, RFIs.

• Perform and review construction/civil design and analysis calculations using governing codes and standards, engineering formulas, skills, and experience

• Providing site support on technical queries

• Travel throughout EMEA

SKILL REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in civil engineering

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience with civil design of power systems for utility installations, power plants, substations, Battery Storage Systems in the EMEA region

• Very good understanding and working experience in civil design including but not limited to foundation, drainage, equipment anchoring, etc.

• Familiar with HV Substations design

• Worked in engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) for high voltage systems, wind, solar, or conventional power generation

• Familiar with applicable codes, standards and regulations in the EMEA Region

• Solution-orientated mindset

• Good communication skills

• Fluency in English
