Job Purpose:
The Civil Foreman is responsible for supervising and coordinating the day-to-day activities of construction crews at site to ensure work is carried out safely, on schedule, within budget, and according to project specifications and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of site workers, including masons, carpenters, steel fixers, and laborers.
- Interpret and implement drawings, blueprints, and construction plans provided by engineers and architects.
- Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Monitor work progress and productivity, and report daily site activities to the Site Engineer/Project Manager.
- Ensure availability of required materials, tools, and equipment for daily site activities.
- Check the quality of work performed and ensure it meets project specifications and standards.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, equipment operators, and other site personnel to ensure smooth workflow.
- Plan and organize manpower allocation and sequencing of activities.
- Assist in resolving any site issues, technical problems, or discrepancies in drawings.
- Maintain site records including daily progress reports, attendance, material usage, and site instructions.
- Support the Site Engineer in ensuring timely completion of project milestones.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Diploma or Technical Certificate in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 5–10 years of experience in civil construction projects (preferably in [building/infrastructure/precast/road projects]).
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and quality standards.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documents.
- Proficiency in managing manpower and site logistics.
- Good communication and leadership skills.
