Civil Foreman (Bridge Maintenance)

We are seeking an experienced Civil Foreman – Bridges & Structures Maintenance to support ongoing Al Ain Municipality Roads and Structures Maintenance Contracts. The role involves supervising site execution of preventive and corrective maintenance works on bridges, flyovers, underpasses, culverts, and associated road structures, ensuring full compliance with Al Ain Municipality / DMT specifications, approved method statements, HSE requirements, and contract KPIs.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily bridge and structural maintenance activities under Al Ain Municipality maintenance contracts.
• Execute and monitor maintenance works including:
• Concrete spalling repairs and patch works
• Crack sealing and epoxy injection
• Structural jacketing and strengthening
• Expansion joint inspection, repair, and replacement
• Elastomeric bearing inspection and replacement
• Waterproofing, protective coatings, and corrosion protection works
• Ensure works are carried out in compliance with AAM / DMT specifications, approved drawings, method statements, ITPs, and work permits.
• Coordinate with Municipality Engineers, Consultants, and Site Engineers for inspections, approvals, and handovers.
• Plan daily work schedules, manpower deployment, equipment, and materials to meet contract response times and maintenance KPIs.
• Conduct toolbox talks and enforce compliance with HSE plans, traffic management plans, and municipality safety requirements.
• Monitor work quality and productivity, addressing non-conformances promptly.
• Maintain daily work reports, inspection records, and material usage logs.
• Supervise works under live traffic conditions, night shifts, and emergency maintenance calls when required.
• Ensure proper housekeeping and compliance with municipality site regulations.

Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma or ITI in Civil Engineering or equivalent technical qualification.
• Minimum 8 years of UAE experience in civil works.
• At least 3 years of proven experience in bridge or structural maintenance projects, preferably with Al Ain Municipality, DMT, or Abu Dhabi–based authority contracts.
• Strong practical knowledge of bridge maintenance techniques, materials, and repair methodologies.
• Experience in roads, bridges, culverts, and structural maintenance projects is essential.

Mandatory Requirements

• Valid UAE Driving License (mandatory).
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple work fronts.
• Willingness to work during night shifts, weekends, and emergency call-outs.
• Good communication skills in English; Arabic is an advantage.

Preferred Competencies

• Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
• Good coordination abilities with municipality inspectors, consultants, and subcontractors.
• Solid understanding of quality control, HSE standards, and traffic safety requirements applicable to Al Ain Municipality projects.
• Problem-solving mindset with the ability to work under pressure and meet contractual deadlines.
