Job Description – Civil Inspector

Location: Al Ain, UAE

Key Responsibilities:

• Inspect civil works at site to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, contract documents, and applicable codes/standards.
• Monitor construction activities including excavation, concreting, reinforcement, formwork, masonry, finishing works, and related civil works.
• Verify materials delivered to site and ensure approved materials and workmanship are used.
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and other discipline inspectors to resolve site issues and maintain construction quality.
• Conduct routine and special inspections; witness tests and inspections as per approved ITPs and method statements.
• Identify non-conformances, issue NCRs where required, and follow up on corrective and preventive actions.
• Maintain accurate site records, daily inspection reports, and progress documentation.
• Support handover activities, snagging, and final inspections to ensure project completion in line with quality and safety requirements.

Requirements:

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 8+ years of experience as a Civil Inspector, preferably with consultancy firms.
• Strong experience in building projects within the UAE.
• Good knowledge of local authority requirements and international standards.
• Ability to join immediately or within 0–1 month.
