Civil Inspector

Job Title: Civil Inspector – Steel Structure

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Civil Inspector with a strong consultancy background and hands-on expertise in steel structure projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for site inspections, quality control, and ensuring that all works comply with approved drawings, specifications, and relevant standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect and monitor steel structure works including fabrication, erection, welding, and bolting activities.
• Ensure construction works comply with approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and applicable codes/standards.
• Conduct routine site inspections and prepare inspection reports, NCRs, and corrective action follow-ups.
• Coordinate with contractors, engineers, and consultants to resolve site-related technical issues.
• Review and verify material submittals, shop drawings, and inspection requests.
• Witness inspections and tests related to steel structures (welding tests, NDT, bolt torque tests, etc.).
• Monitor project progress and report any delays or quality issues to the Senior Engineer / Project Manager.
• Ensure compliance with HSE regulations and site safety requirements.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, approvals, and site activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 to 7 years of experience as a Civil Inspector in steel structure projects.
• Mandatory consultancy experience in the UAE or similar market.
• Strong knowledge of steel structure construction, inspection procedures, and quality standards.
• Familiar with international standards such as ASTM, BS, AISC, AWS, or equivalent.
• Good understanding of drawings, BOQs, and technical specifications.
• Strong communication and reporting skills.
• Ability to work independently and coordinate with multiple stakeholders.

Preferred

• UAE experience in large-scale steel or industrial projects.
• Certification in inspection or quality control is an added advantage.
• Immediate or short notice availability preferred.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: AED8,000.00 - AED9,000.00 per month
