Civil Inspector

Role Overview:

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Civil Inspector located in Abu Dhabi. The Civil Inspector will be responsible for conducting site inspections to ensure compliance with construction plans and quality standards. Daily tasks include overseeing quality control processes, inspecting construction materials and workmanship, particularly asphalt, and managing construction activities to ensure timelines and specifications are met. The role involves detailed report writing and coordination with other construction professionals to ensure project success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct daily inspections of civil works including concrete, formwork, reinforcement, finishing, and infrastructure works.
• Ensure works comply with approved drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
• Verify materials, workmanship, and construction methods.
• Review and witness tests for concrete, soil, and materials.
• Issue site observations, NCRs, and inspection reports as required.
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and project teams.
• Ensure compliance with Abu Dhabi DMT, local authorities, and safety requirements.

Requirements:

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Civil Inspector in the UAE.
• Strong experience on buildings projects (residential, commercial, mixed-use).
• Familiar with Abu Dhabi authority standards and site inspection procedures.
• Good reporting and communication skills.
• Experience on Aldar projects is a strong advantage.
