Civil Inspector

House of Consulting Office for Consulting Engineers Co. (HCO) is a multi-disciplinary consulting engineering firm based in Saudi Arabia. HCO employs a diverse range of architectural, engineering, planning, and consultancy professionals, allowing them to offer a "one-stop solution" for their clients' project needs throughout the entire lifecycle. HCO works on a wide range of project types, including residential, commercial, industrial, hospitality, retail, and healthcare.

We are currently seeking an experienced Civil Inspector to join our team for a project in Khobar . The ideal candidate will have strong experience in construction supervision and inspection, with solid knowledge of civil engineering principles, site activities, quality control, and compliance with Saudi codes and regulations.

• Conduct regular inspections at various stages of construction to ensure compliance with project specifications, building codes, and regulatory requirements
• Review plans, drawings, and specifications to identify discrepancies or potential issues and coordinate with relevant parties for resolution
• Monitor construction site activities such as excavation, grading, concrete works, and infrastructure installation to ensure adherence to safety and quality standards
• Verify that construction materials (e.g., concrete, steel, asphalt) meet required quality standards and are used according to approved specifications
• Perform field measurements and calculations to ensure accuracy of construction dimensions and execution
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, reports, and corrective actions taken on-site
• Prepare detailed inspection reports including observations, findings, recommendations, and supporting documentation such as photographs
• Coordinate with construction managers, engineers, and contractors to resolve site issues and ensure timely project completion
• Conduct pre-construction and post-completion inspections to evaluate workmanship quality and material compliance
• Provide technical guidance to the project team on civil inspection practices, quality control, and safety requirements
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and report any violations or risks identified on-site
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field from an accredited institution
• Valid Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE) membership
• Minimum 8+ years of experience in construction supervision or inspection, including at least 5 years in Saudi Arabia
• Proven experience in construction inspections, preferably within project management or supervision consultancy services
• Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles, codes, and construction practices
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
