Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Civil Inspector to join our engineering consultancy team for high-rise building projects in Ras Al Khaimah. The selected candidate will be responsible for inspecting and monitoring civil and structural works to ensure compliance with approved drawings, project specifications, quality standards, safety regulations, and project schedules.

The ideal candidate should have strong UAE/GCC consultancy experience in high-rise residential, commercial, or mixed-use developments.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct site inspections for civil and structural works including excavation, foundations, concrete works, blockwork, waterproofing, finishing works, and infrastructure activities.
• Ensure all construction activities are executed as per approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and local authority regulations.
• Review and verify WIRs, MIRs, shop drawings, material approvals, and inspection requests.
• Inspect reinforcement works, shuttering/formwork, concrete pouring, curing, and structural elements.
• Monitor contractor performance and ensure compliance with QA/QC and HSE requirements.
• Coordinate with resident engineers, architects, MEP teams, contractors, and project stakeholders.
• Prepare inspection reports, snag lists, NCRs, site observations, and progress reports.
• Verify materials used on site comply with approved specifications and standards.
• Monitor project progress and identify delays, quality issues, or non-conformance matters.
• Attend site meetings and technical coordination meetings.
• Ensure compliance with RAK Municipality regulations, UAE building codes, and project standards.
• Review as-built drawings and support project handover and closeout activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 8 years of experience as Civil Inspector in high-rise building projects.
• UAE/GCC consultancy experience is mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of civil construction inspection procedures and QA/QC practices.
• Experience in concrete, finishing, structural, and infrastructure works inspection.
• Familiarity with UAE building regulations and international construction standards.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Good reporting and communication skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications.
• UAE Driving License preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in engineering consultancy firms in the UAE.
• Experience in high-rise residential and commercial tower projects.
• Knowledge of authority approvals and inspection processes.
• Familiarity with QA/QC documentation and project closeout procedures.
• Immediate joiners preferred.
