Job description:

Position : Civil Inspector - High-Rise Building Supervision (Consultant Engineer)

Location: Dubai

Industry: Engineering Consultancy

Requirements / Qualifications:

A Diploma in Civil Engineering or a related field is required.

7-10 years of experience in civil inspection or related fields is required.

Experience within the UAE.

In-depth knowledge of construction methodologies, building codes, and local regulations is essential.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills are necessary.

Experience with various project types, ability to read technical drawings, and familiarity with relevant inspection tools are also beneficial.

A background experience in an engineering consultancy in Dubai.

Responsibilities:

Previous experience in civil construction works and supervision or inspection of site works.

Record inspections, tests, work executed.

Monitor the review of the contractor’s documents/shop drawings to flag and rectify any issues which may affect the stability or function of any components or systems.

Preparing daily logs and reports.

Monitoring and ensuring that all civil/structural engineering aspects of the project are carried out as per inspection plan/drawings/codes and specifications.

Monitor safety aspects when dealing with Civil/structural installations.

Perform and or evaluate tests confirming quality requirements, civil/structural finishes and building components by conducting thorough site inspection for all civil/structural works as per approved shop drawings, specifications and method statement.

Field checks placement, location and quality of civil/structural finishes, building structure components.

Perform civil/structural inspections and material inspections.

Ensure compliance of civil/structural l works to design requirements, specifications and project plan.
