Civil Inspector | Engineering Consultancy

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in site inspection, quality control, and construction supervision for building projects within the UAE. The successful applicant will ensure that all civil works are executed in accordance with approved drawings, project specifications, local authority regulations, and industry quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine site inspections to verify that civil works comply with approved drawings, specifications, contract requirements, and applicable codes.
  • Monitor construction activities and ensure high standards of workmanship, safety, and quality.
  • Inspect excavation, foundations, reinforced concrete, blockwork, structural elements, finishing works, and external civil works.
  • Review material approvals and verify that approved materials are used on site.
  • Witness site tests and inspections as required and maintain accurate inspection records.
  • Identify non-conforming work and coordinate corrective actions with contractors.
  • Prepare daily inspection reports, snag lists, NCRs, and site observation reports.
  • Coordinate with Resident Engineers, Project Engineers, Architects, MEP Inspectors, contractors, and relevant authorities.
  • Review shop drawings, method statements, material submittals, and as-built drawings when required.
  • Monitor project progress and report any delays, technical issues, or quality concerns.
  • Ensure compliance with UAE building regulations, engineering standards, and health & safety requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Civil Inspector, preferably with an engineering consultancy in the UAE.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, civil engineering practices, QA/QC procedures, and site inspection processes.
  • Good understanding of UAE construction regulations and local authority requirements.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
  • Excellent reporting, communication, and coordination skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and engineering documentation.
  • UAE driving licence is an advantage.
  • Immediate joiners will be given preference.
