Civil Lab Technician

Position: Civil Laboratory Technician
Department: Quality Control / QA-QC
Location: Site / Laboratory

Key Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory and field tests on construction materials including soil, aggregate, concrete,cement, etc.
• Prepare and test concrete cubes, cylinders, slump tests, and maintain curing conditions.
• Record, analyze, and report test results accurately as per standards (ASTM, AASHTO, BS, ISO).
• Ensure calibration, cleanliness, and proper maintenance of lab equipment.
• Collect samples from site and ensure they follow proper sampling procedures.
• Coordinate with site engineers and contractors for timely testing and reporting.

Skills & Requirements

• Diploma / DAE in Civil Engineering or relevant certification.
• 1–3 years of experience in a construction materials testing laboratory (preferred).
• Good understanding of ASTM/BS standards for material testing.
• Ability to operate lab equipment and prepare accurate reports.
• Strong attention to detail and record keeping.
