LEGAL ASSISTANT QUALIFICATIONS FOR CIVIL LITIGATION FIRM
Qualified Candidates must possess the following qualifications:

Qualified Candidates MUST also have the following experience:
· minimum of 2 years experience working in the civil law industry as a legal assistant or paralegal
· Excellence in writing and oral communications;
· Scheduling and calendaring appointments, travel, deadlines, meetings, depositions and other pretrial and trial deadlines;
· Ordering medical records in admissible format from hospitals, doctors, and other health care providers, including Medicare/Medicaid;
· Drafting requests for reduction of medical bills;
ability to be analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills;
· Familiar with preparing and answering discovery and pretrial motions with assistance of attorney;
· Create internal files and/or organizing exhibits, medical records, discovery, and other documents for mediation and trial;
· Knowledgeable of E-filing in Texas state and federal courts;
· Interact professionally with clients on a daily basis concerning status or progress of their cases;
· Communicating and coordinating with court staff, expert witnesses, and medical providers in connection with cases filed in state and federal court;
· Outstanding computer and technology skills;
· Experienced with meeting deadlines; and
· Preferable, but not required knowledge and competence in working with Quickbooks.

Pay: $16.00 - $25.00 per hour
