Civil Litigation and Business Transactions Paralegal

Skufca Law, PLLC, a full-service law firm in the heart of South End, is seeking a Civil Litigation and Business Transactions Paralegal with 3+ years of experience. Must have excellent communication skills, high technology proficiency, positive attitude, and work well with others. Must have the ability to handle multiple projects and tasks and work well in a fast-paced environment. Great opportunity to work in a small office environment with growth potential and benefits.

Responsibilities:

• Draft and respond to pleadings and discovery
• Prepare documents for filing and make courthouse runs
• Oversee filing deadlines
• Prepare documents, exhibits, and presentations for trial.
• Meet with new and existing clients to obtain information
• Schedule appointments for the attorneys
• Help make sure attorneys stay on task and are meeting deadlines
• Keep case document management and forms up-to-date and organized
• Assist as a back up to answer incoming calls
• Assist with Client Intake procedures
• Assist with incoming and outgoing mail
• Provide support for other co-workers as needed
• Other administrative tasks as needed

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a paralegal in Civil Litigation and/or Business Law
• Technical proficiency in MS Office products: Outlook, Word, Excel, as well as PDF Software (Adobe Acrobat, FoxIt) and document management software
• Experience using Clio or similar time and billing software desired
• Familiarity with legal research
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent organizations and administrative skills
• Attention to detail, accurate typing and proofreading skills
• Ability to handle multiple projects at a time, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
• Professional, friendly, organized and a good team player
• Stays calm under pressure
• Paralegal Certificate desired but not required

Pay: $50,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
