Henson Fuerst Attorneys is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated plaintiffs Litigation Secretary or Paralegal to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting attorneys throughout the litigation process, ensuring that all legal communication and documents are handled accurately and efficiently. This position requires a strong understanding of legal procedures, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
Assist attorneys in the preparation of legal documents, including pleadings and discovery requests.
Gather information and materials for discovery and exhibits
Manage case files and maintain organized records for ongoing litigation.
Perform data entry and maintain accurate databases related to case management.
Coordinate with clients, witnesses, experts, and attorneys to manage and adhere to deadlines.
Coordinate with court personnel, co-counsel, and opposing counsel to file documents and schedule hearings.
Support project management efforts by tracking deadlines, court dates, and case milestones.
Collaborate with team members in various areas of law.
Experience
REQUIRED: 3 years' experience as a Litigation Secretary or Paralegal. Trial experience preferred.
Strong organizational skills.
Experience with legal drafting techniques and terminology is essential.
Strong skills in data entry and document management systems.
Knowledge of litigation processes.
Exceptional communication and time management skills for effective interviewing and client interaction.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, basic computer skills, and legal case management software.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
