Civil project manager

Key ResponsibilitiesProject Planning & Execution

• Develop comprehensive project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocations.
• Oversee the execution of civil engineering projects, ensuring alignment with project specifications and contractual obligations.
• Manage day-to-day project operations across multiple sites.

Technical & Construction Management

• Review and approve design drawings, technical submittals, and construction methodologies.
• Ensure compliance with UAE codes, standards, and authority regulations (e.g., Dubai Municipality, ADM, RTA, DEWA, FEWA).
• Conduct site inspections to monitor progress, quality, and safety practices.

Stakeholder Coordination

• Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and government authorities.
• Lead project meetings, progress reviews, and technical discussions.
• Maintain clear communication channels to resolve issues promptly.

Cost & Contract Management

• Monitor project expenditures and ensure adherence to the approved budget.
• Evaluate variation orders, claims, and contractual correspondence.
• Support procurement activities and ensure timely availability of materials and resources.

Risk, Quality & Safety Management

• Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Enforce QA/QC processes and ensure project deliverables meet required quality standards.
• Ensure compliance with HSE policies and promote a safety-first environment.

Reporting

• Prepare regular project progress reports, cost updates, and performance dashboards for senior management and clients.
• Document project milestones, deviations, and corrective actions.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (Master’s or PMP certification is an advantage).
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in the UAE in civil construction or infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of local regulations, authority approval processes, and construction standards.
• Proven leadership experience managing medium-to-large-scale projects.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in project management software (Primavera P6, MS Project) and MS Office.
• Valid UAE Driving License preferred.
• Arabic Speaker preferred.
