Civil Site Engineer

PTWL is seeking an experienced Civil Engineer with strong expertise in landscaping projects, swimming pools, and water features. The successful candidate will supervise and coordinate all civil works related to outdoor landscaping developments, swimming pools, and water feature projects across the UAE, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities1. Project Planning & Execution

• Supervise and manage civil works related to landscaping, swimming pool, and water feature projects.
• Ensure all works are executed according to approved drawings, project specifications, timelines, and UAE authority requirements.
• Coordinate site activities from mobilization through final handover.
• Monitor project schedules and ensure timely completion of civil activities.

2. Swimming Pool & Water Feature Works

• Supervise construction of swimming pools, balancing tanks, pump rooms, and water feature structures.
• Coordinate waterproofing, concrete works, block works, tiling, coping, and finishing activities.
• Ensure proper execution of fountains, waterfalls, splash pads, decorative water features, and associated civil infrastructure.
• Coordinate with MEP teams for integration of hydraulic, piping, and filtration systems.
• Support testing, inspections, commissioning, and project handover activities.

3. Landscaping Civil Works

• Supervise hardscape works including paving, interlocks, kerbstones, pathways, retaining walls, pergolas, and decorative structures.
• Ensure proper grading, leveling, excavation, drainage, and site preparation works.
• Coordinate backfilling, concrete works, irrigation sleeves, underground utilities, and drainage systems.
• Monitor implementation of effective water management and drainage solutions across project sites.

4. Technical Coordination

• Coordinate with consultants, architects, landscape designers, MEP engineers, subcontractors, and project teams.
• Review drawings, BOQs, material submittals, and technical specifications.
• Ensure proper coordination between civil, structural, MEP, irrigation, and landscape works.
• Resolve technical and site-related issues efficiently to avoid delays.
• Attend project meetings and coordinate inspections and approvals with consultants and authorities.

5. Site Supervision & Quality Control

• Supervise daily site activities and monitor subcontractor performance.
• Conduct regular site inspections, quality checks, and material inspections.
• Ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, UAE standards, and project quality procedures.
• Maintain accurate inspection reports, records, and site documentation.

6. Cost Control, Materials & Procurement

• Assist in preparation of BOQs, quantity take-offs, and cost estimates.
• Coordinate procurement of construction materials, equipment, and subcontractor services.
• Monitor material usage and support project cost control initiatives.
• Verify executed quantities and support progress evaluations and variation assessments.

7. Reporting & Documentation

• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly project progress reports.
• Maintain records for inspections, approvals, site activities, and project documentation.
• Track project progress, delays, risks, and technical issues.
• Assist in preparation of as-built drawings and project handover documentation.

8. Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)

• Enforce company HSE policies and safety standards across all site activities.
• Conduct regular safety inspections and identify potential site risks.
• Ensure safe working practices, housekeeping standards, and proper equipment operation.
• Monitor subcontractor and workforce compliance with safety procedures.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 4–6 years of UAE experience in landscaping, swimming pools, and water feature projects.
• Strong knowledge of concrete works, waterproofing, hardscape, drainage systems, and swimming pool construction.
• Experience coordinating civil works with MEP, irrigation, and landscape systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, BOQs, and construction specifications.
• Strong leadership, coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Good understanding of UAE authority regulations, standards, and construction practices.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office is preferred.
• UAE Driving License is preferred.
